Barns and garages are among my favorite projects — both renovation and new construction. I have a particular fondness for antique barns. Projects like these allow me to bring all of my remodeling skills to the table: roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, woodworking, etc. In addition, barn and garage work generally does not require the use of many subcontractors. This makes such projects easy to schedule and coordinate.
I also love working with and being around horses and other animals. As a small farmer and livestock owner myself, I can bring my knowledge of keeping animals to each barn project, so that you can get what works best for you and your animals.
Here are some sample photos from some of my barn and garage projects. To see the images in the photo gallery, just click on the thumbnail photo.

Moody Garage
This is new construction. It has a full two stories, using a floor truss for the second floor. The truss eliminates the need for lally columns in the downstairs bays. In addition, the use of roof trusses allows the upstairs space to be completely open, with no need for supporting walls. -

Rhine garage — Door Detail
Detailed view of a side door in the Rhine garage. This photo shows the door frame detail. I custom-shape my door and window trim to wrap around the frame completely; this keeps out dirt and water and extends the life of the frames. -
